'Cats-Yanks showdown rained out
Game 3 of NY-Penn League Finals now set for Friday

Thursday night's decisive third game of the NY-Penn League Championship Series between the Tri-City ValleyCats and Staten Island Yankees was postponed due to rain.

The showdown for the title will be played on Friday at 7 p.m. ET at .

In Game 2 on Wednesday, James Van Ostrand hit a grand slam and drove in five runs as the ValleyCats staved off elimination with a 9-2 victory over Staten Island.

Scheduled Game 3 starters were George Kontos for the Yankees and Christopher Salamida for Tri-City.
