A guy who stuffs himself into an 18 gallon box and a salute to our military are just a few of the new promotions that have been added to the schedule.
As the regular season comes to an end in August, make sure you come out to see the new and already scheduled promotions. New additions include:
Thursday, August 10 - Famed writer and television personality Frank Deford will be on hand for a book signing of his latest work about the life of Factoryville native Christy Mathewson.
Friday, August 11 - The first 1,250 women age 14 and over will receive a pink t-shirt compliments of NROC.
Saturday, August 12 - Cole Hamels Tin Lunch Box giveaway to the first 2,000 kids under 14 compliments of Lackawanna County Library System........Countryfest - local country band "Xcountry" will be entertaining on the BANKO Party Patio until 7:30 (prior to the start of the Toby Keith Concert at Montage).
Sunday, August 13 - "The Rubberboy" will amaze fans with his act. Contortionist Daniel Browning Smith, better known as the Rubberboy, has taken contortion further than any one before.
He is considered the most flexible man alive. He has trained extensively in order to accomplish that. Unlike most contortionists who generally are trained to bend in one direction (back benders or front benders), He is able to bend in all directions. He can bend so far backwards the top of his head can touch the seat of his pants, so far forward he can kiss his own butt. He can dislocate both arms and legs and even turn his torso 180 degrees.
The Rubberboy has three Guinness World Records for his flexibility. He dislocates his arms to crawl through an unstrung tennis racquet. He performs contortion handstands and unique acrobatics. Daniel crams his body into an 18-gallon box, which is only 13.5 inches x 16 inches x 19.5 inches!! (Your TV is bigger!) He has combined all of his special skills into an amazing and hilarious show.
Daniel has become the most famous contortionist alive today. From stage to screen no other contortionist has been witnessed by as many audiences.
Friday, August 25 - U.S. Armed Forces Night with post-game fireworks. Come out and salute our fighting forces. The Red Barons will be wearing special "camo" jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. In addition there will be a special appearance by the one and only Sergeant Slaughter of professional wrestling fame. Sgt. Slaughter will throw out the first pitch and sign autographs.
