21
Carlos Quentin, OF, Diamondbacks (81)
2005 stats: .302 BA/ .420 OBP/ .540 SLG
2005 Club: Tucson (Triple-A) ETA in Majors: 2006 Preseason Rank: 33
His buddy Conor Jackson is already up; Quentin is ready to contribute as well, but there doesn't appear to be an opening.

22
Felix Pie, OF, Cubs (74)
2005 stats: .304 BA/ .349 OBP/ .554 SLG
2005 Club: West Tennessee (Double-A) ETA in Majors: 2006 Preseason Rank: --
Still only 20, Pie continues to move one rung at a time, putting all his tools together and winning titles like they're going out of style.

23
Scott Olsen, LHP, Marlins (71)
2005 stats: 7-5, 3.93 ERA, 100.2 IP, 96 H, 37 BB, 115 K
2005 Club: Carolina/Florida ETA in Majors: 2005 Preseason Rank: 36
The young lefty certainly impressed during his callup to the bigs, but landed on the Mudcats' DL with elbow inflammation after being sent back down.

24
Jose Capellan, RHP, Brewers (70)
2005 stats: 5-3, 3.91 ERA, 89.2 IP, 87 H, 41 BB, 73 K
2005 Club: Nashville (Triple-A) ETA in Majors: 2005 Preseason Rank: 18
Well, maybe his future is in the bullpen. Since being turned into a reliever in June, the hard thrower has a 1.48 ERA and a .212 batting average against.

25
Brandon League, RHP, Blue Jays (70)
2005 stats: 4-4, 5.96 ERA, 80 IP, 100 H, 25 BB, 48 K
2005 Club: Toronto/Syracuse ETA in Majors: 2005 Preseason Rank: 20
The starting experiment -- even if it was just to stretch him out -- didn't provide pretty results, but he pitched well once me moved back into the pen to earn a promotion back to Toronto in early July.

26
Conor Jackson, 1B, Diamondbacks (61)
2005 stats: [AAA] .354 BA/ .457 OBP/ .553 SLG [ARI] .227 BA/ .261 OBP/ .545 SLG
2005 Club: Tucson/Arizona ETA in Majors: 2005 Preseason Rank: 42
If you keep raking like Jackson was in Tucson all year, your organization will find a way to bring you up. That's exactly what the D-Backs did when they moved Chad Tracy to the outfield so Jackson could help out at first.

27
Ryan Howard, 1B, Phillies (60)
2005 stats: [AAA] .371 BA/ .467 OBP/ .690 SLG [PHI] .276 BA/ .348 OBP/ .497 SLG
2005 Club: Scranton/Philadelphia ETA in Majors: 2005 Preseason Rank: 30
Finally getting a chance to play in the bigs thanks to Thome's injury, Howard is showing he can swing the stick at any level.

28
Kendry Morales, 1B, Angels (58)
2005 stats: [A] .344 BA/ .400 OBP/ .5445 SLG [AA] .243 BA/ .292 OBP/ .439 SLG
2005 Club: Rancho/Arkansas ETA in Majors: 2006 Preseason Rank: --
Perhaps he's for real. After a brief stop in the California League, Morales is showing some serious pop against Double-A pitching and went to the Futures Game.

29
Jeff Niemann, RHP, Devil Rays (58)
2005 stats: 0-2, 4.30 ERA, 23 IP, 16 H, 12 BB, 30 K
2005 Club: Visalia/Montgomery ETA in Majors: 2006 Preseason Rank: --
It's been a weird year for the 2004 first-rounder. He's thrown just over 20 innings all year because of shoulder inflammation, but he just got bumped up to Double-A and has looked unhittable when on the mound.

30
Billy Butler, 3B/OF, Royals (56)
2005 stats: [A] .348 BA/ .419 OBP/ .636 SLG [AA] .375 BA/ .412 OBP/ .438 SLG
2005 Club: High Desert/Wichita ETA in Majors: 2007 Preseason Rank: --
Missing time with a hand injury and moving from third to the outfield has done nothing to slow down Butler. He's second in all of the Minor Leagues in RBIs and just got bumped to Double-A.
